Bass / guitar lines just sort of arrive instantly sometimes at practice… I just took this one and threw on some spooky vocals for a test.

Sometime’s i’ll just play the root notes of a song to sing along with, so I can write the lyrics and finish the vocals. This one sounds way different with only acoustic guitar. Crappy recording brought to you by iPhone at end of room… couldn’t help but add reverb though.

Title is a work in progress as well… we just thought it sounded like someone having a lot of difficulty moving; could be completely drunk.

Just started practicing this song with the silent numbers, and Eric came up with a pretty sweet keyboard part. Obviously a very rough recording; made with iPhone 4s on top of amp.

Another demo for the purpose of figuring out the vocals… I hacked together Eric and Bryan’s parts (bass and lead guitar), and thew down a cheesy drum track just for comping.

I just started using Propellerhead’s Record program, so this is the first attempt. I’ve noticed quite a bit of a different feel for the onboard reverb units, which is sometimes good and bad.

Sometimes I’ll just make scratch tracks of other people’s parts they wrote in the band (The Silent Numbers) to work out a proper vocal part. The final song and video is below.

This song was written/recorded one night around 2-3am, so I had to whisper sing the vocals. One of those songs I never developed with any project, but liked the original idea.

For  http://fawm.org/ I wrote a series of songs just going up and down the scale for the root notes, and this was one of them. Another one never used for any projects, it’s also in a style I don’t typically write in.
